Hiking at St. Mary's

This past weekend, Peter, the Adams', Brian, and I went hiking at a place called St. Mary's near Stuarts Draft. It's an awesome hike...one of my favorites. We had a great time and we definitely want to go back! Here we are at the map at the start of the trip. Peter's showing us where we're going.
Here's me and Zorro. Of course my little fox wanted to come hiking.
Collin, Marryn, and Brian climbing rocks:
The trail is really cool because it goes right up the sides of cliffs sometimes. There are big drop offs and rocks to climb and lots of stuff to make the hike exciting!
Here are Brian and Collin on the trail! Yep, that's the trail
The trail also crosses the river a couple of times. Peter helped all the kids get across so they wouldn't slip!
Here's Brian by the waterfalls!
Collin sliding down the rocks. The water was SOOOOOOO cold!
Marryn sliding down
Father/son picture in the freezing cold water:
Here's me, Brian, and Collin on top of a big rock that happens to be in the middle of the river.
This is a little swimming spot where we jumped in from the rocks around it.
Marryn was the FIRST of the kids to jump off the rocks. She jumped right to Peter, who caught her, and brought her over to the edge. She inspired everyone else to jump in too!
Group shot!
Jeff jumping off the rocks.
Me jumping
Me jumping again. It was so much fun! Cold, but fun.
Jeff got even braver and climbed up that side of the cliff and jumped off.
The kids and I climbed up another cliff to go really high. Here we are about halfway up.
Now in this picture, you can see the rocks that we climbed.

We had so much fun. I hope you had as much fun as we did. It was nice not have a care in the world. And Peter - he is just a wealth of knowledge. I hope you can make time to go with us again.
