1. "I'm sorry I wasn't here yesterday, Miss Tice. I had pink eye, a cough, a sneeze, and lots of other stuff."
2. (We had to do the lock-down drill today to practice what to do if there's a bad guy in the school. We had a conversation about why we go outside during a fire drill, to the hallway for a tornado drill, and hide inside our locked classrooms for the bad guy drill. Afterwards a kid said this:) "So what would happen in the rare situation that we have a fire, a tornado, and a crazy guy all at the same time? Since all 3 are certain disaster, do we just run around in circles screaming?"
