This weekend I also got to visit some friends who are in 4th grade now. They were in my class 2 years ago. The one on the right lives in North Carolina now and she was up visiting for the weekend! It was really cool getting to see them again, eating lunch, and just hanging out!

I think it's cool that you are able to hang out w/ your kids outside of your classroom. I'm sure you are making great impressions on them. I don't feel comfortable with that. I dunno, I've heard too many stories about teachers who lost jobs over "he said-she said" kinda stuff and, though I KNOW nothing questionable would ever happen, I just think about how jr. high kids can turn on you in an instant and I don't want to end up as a Dateline NBC special or something. Hm...now I didn't say all that to imply that I'm thinking you would or something crazy like that...no...man, I'm digging a hole here...I guess I was just wanting to say that I think it's cool that you can do that! :)
